Cuban childhood.
ASERES, Cuba.
I'm a Cuban documentary photographer. Between 2021 and 2025 I developed the "Asere" project, a series that documents daily life in Cuba during one of its most complex periods. My work focuses on honestly portraying the reality of the Cuban, from general scenes to intimate portraits, covering different generations: children, young people, adults and the elderly. "Asere" takes its name from a popular expression that we use on the street to greet each other, recognize each other and create closeness. Through this project I seek to offer a direct and humane visual testimony of what it means to live in Cuba today.
